A board designed with a more lateralsurfing approach in mind and forwardtrim. The bottom shape is convex andblends to flat in front of the box andthrough the tail, like some traditional"displacement hulls" but less so:resulting in a lower apex rail making theboard feel similar in trim to its traditionalcounterpart, but faster and moreresponsive. I've also been putting a"normal" amount of tail rocker incombination with hard edge starting atthe front of the fin box, enabling theboard to be surfed more from the tail ifdesired, as opposed to the very flat tailrocker/soft rail displacement hulls of thepast. I've found that these boards havevery similar feeling of a traditional "hull"style shape but can go rail to rail easierand can be surfed even smoother.
